Life’s a Batch of Candy
Do you remember Trick or Treating as a child? I have the best memories! I loved being creative in deciding and designing my costumes. The excitement of putting on the Halloween costume and becoming the character, all right before the rush of running to each house to show off my costume and get lots of candy!
Â
Every year, we would go to each house and never know what we were going to get. It was a thrill and surprise of what the house would have. You might like the candy, get a king-size candy bar, or get something yucky. I specifically remember going up to a house and being so sad to receive a Heath bar, because I thought it said Health bar 🙂.

It’s the same with life. At times, we can become disappointed, it’s reality. Then other times we are living with excitement and fun. Remember not to dwell on your disappointment. Acknowledge what’s making you feel this way, accept it, grow from it, and move on.
Â
We’re not always given the perfect batch of candy, like in life. We don’t know what is going to show up at the door when we get there, but move through it with thankfulness for the experience, the lesson, the moment, and move on with a smile.
