Garbage In Garbage Out
I had a conversation with a friend the other day. He was very upset by how much we are constantly filling our minds with excess junk, garbage, and negativity.
I do understand that there is a lot of negativity out there right now. We see things on social media, in the news, events at work or school, or just things that are constantly in our viewing space. It is good to witness some things, but over time, it can become too much whereas it is toxic to our wellbeing.
The thing is, this “junk” is going to lay in our mind and body, and rot. None of us want all that junk to sit there and fester in our minds. Just like a trash can, it’s going to get full and rot on the inside.
So, take out the trash in your mind. Just like we take out the trash daily or weekly in our homes, releasing it allows us to grow and become more positive.
Focus on what is clean, refreshing, and important to your mind, body, and spirit. You will feel happier and healthier when YOU set limits to what comes in and out. Be aware of the junk that may be making you feel sluggish, unmotivated, or grumpy. This may be as simple as switching some of your social media time for a nature walk. The possibilities are endless.
