Be Smart Be Safe Be Dancing the COVID Away

She’s back at it! The girl who posted “60 Days of Human Interaction”, and “Spread Gratitude, Not COVID”, creates a COVID vaccine jingle and dance to get everyone involved. A very serious matter with lighthearted fun in the end.

I posted a video on my social media of a Jingle I created. View Instagram Post Here This started to help my mom after she got her COVID shot. My mom was worried if she was going to have any side effects because she’s immune-compromised so I told her…

“Don’t worry about it, just move that muscle, move that muscle. You know, butterfly butterfly it”. And then I thought I was onto something. I thought it was kind of fun and it made my mom smile. She wasn’t thinking about the shot she just got at all, she was moving that muscle!

It made her smile and laugh, then I had the idea to get everyone involved. I want to help others literally “move through the vaccine” with smiles and fun! After my mom’s vaccine, I immediately had this idea for this jingle and dance, and thought “let’s go film it! We got this!”. So we went around the corner of the building and after a few takes, we got it!

A lot of people are hesitant to get the vaccine. They might be afraid of getting shots and being poked by needles so this is something lighthearted and fun that many can say…

‘Hey look, I got my vaccine and I get to partake in something that’s positive afterward instead of worrying’. It’s another positive way to get people involved with the vaccine’.

The point is for all to get involved in something fun, and encourage others to get the shot and post their dance moves afterward on social media. It’s just to have some lighthearted fun. After you get your vaccine, they give you a long list of side effects (which is intimidating) but they do not say that you can’t butterfly the day away!  As for my mom, she was able to take her mind off the shot and get the blood flowing in her body. She thinks it helped her arm not to be as sore.

I have had backlash on this post. Many don’t like that I am promoting positivity associated with the vaccine. You gotta do what’s best for you, but I personally believe it’s important for my mom and I. I know 3 people who have passed away to COVID-19, one being my grandfather, and I know several people who have had COVID-19, including myself. It was not a walk in the park for any of us. I feel the shot is not to harm but to help.

In the end, if someone has laughed or smiled at the post, then I’ve done my job.
