Friendships and Chick-fil-A
I came across these lovely ladies as I was going through a Chick-fil-A parking lot and this is their new norm for now.
Masks, wipes, Chick-fil-A…all on a make-shift table in a parking lot. A group of friends laughing, chatting and having fun. It was pretty neat to see.
As I observed, these ladies were really enjoying life together as this is the new norm – taking precautions to stay safe while sharing a bite to eat and sharing stories. I spoke with them briefly and they get together several times a week to stay connected and enjoy each other’s company. Their previous routines included things such as travel, recreation, and community activities and events, but sudden cancellations have shifted their daily life. These good friends see it essential to continue to keep in touch. Even though I only spoke to them shortly I could see how they valued each other’s friendships and were bound and determined to get out and safely have some laughs together.
The power in just sitting down, laughing together, and having a good time is so important for the mind, body, and soul. This is a great reminder and creative way to keep interacting. We all need to have positive interactions with friends and family, either virtually or social distantly.
Always remember to Be Yourself Be Strong And Be Beautiful® and continue to stay healthy.

One of these lovely ladies is my mom. I’m glad that she is able to connect with her friends in a safe way. Thanks for highlighting them. Love you mom!
