Quick Tips: Start Your Day Stress Free
We all know the days. The kind where you rush out of bed, scrambling along to look polished, refreshed, and ready to start the work or school week.
Morning chaos can affect your mood for the whole day, and who wants to go through life grumpy and unproductive? I personally do not like this feeling, yet it’s a feeling that’s too familiar.
The workweek is hard enough, so below are a few tips I have found to be really beneficial.
Tip #1 – Starting the day in panic mode, (looking for keys, something to eat, and that day’s outfit while in a time crunch), gives unnecessary anxiety that could easily be avoided. Have everything ready the night before, like your bags, a healthy breakfast and lunch prepped, and an outfit planned and packed so you can grab and go, without any required thought.
*BONUS TIP: Have a backup outfit planned, in case you’re not feeling the one you picked out the night before. A go-to outfit is always a good idea.
Tip #2 – It’s best to not look at social media or emails in the morning because it gets you behind and can really use up your time. If you must check your social media and/or emails in the am, set a timer so you will only look for that amount of time, then finish getting ready. Or get up earlier to give yourself the amount of time needed to be online.
Tip #3 – Going to bed and waking up at the same time may help the mornings go a little smoother. Staying on the same sleep routine, even on days you don’t have to get up early may keep your body’s sleep and wake cycle consistent.
“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise” – Benjamin Franklin.
We all know these simple techniques, but hopefully seeing these tips will inspire you to put them into your daily routines.
